BELLINGCAT JOURNALIST REFERRED TO BAKU'S AGGRESSION
In his article, Bellingcat investigative platform journalist Carlos Gonzales referred to the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia in September.
In particular, he examined two videos of extrajudicial killings of Armenian prisoners of war (POWs) by Azerbaijani servicemen, which were spread on Azerbaijani social networks. The author of the article has identified the exact location of the incident, that is, the location on Mount Ishkhanasar not far from Sev Lake (Black Lake). He also referred to the uniforms and weapons of servicemen, presenting facts that they belong to the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.
Gonzales also denied the claims of the Azerbaijani side that the mentioned videos are edited and do not correspond to reality.
ARMENIAN CEMETERY WAS RAZED TO GROUND IN NAKHIJEVAN
More than 800 tombstones, khachkars (cross-stones) and ram-shaped sculptures of the Armenian cemetery of the 10th-20th centuries in Paraka village of Nakhijevan, about 70 of which had Armenian inscriptions, in 1997-2009 were destroyed by bulldozers. The territory has been leveled to the ground, 13 new houses have been built on the territory of the cemetery, warns the International Organization for the Protection of Caucasian Heritage.
According to the structure, the cemetery was located in the north of Paraka village and occupied a large area. In 1933 on Soviet maps it is mentioned as a Christian cemetery.
ÇAVUŞOĞLU SPOKE ABOUT SENDING OSCE MISSION TO ARMENIA
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu commented on the initiative to send an OSCE needs assessment team to Armenia.
“Making such a decision without Azerbaijan's consent contradicts the principles of OSCE activity. We consider this a private decision. This is not an OSCE mission,” the Minister emphasized.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan made a similar statement, stating that the mission sent to Armenia does not have an OSCE mandate.
EXPLOSIONS IN KHARKIV
Explosions thundered in Kharkiv in the morning, reports the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration. According to Oleg Sinegubov, 5 people were injured, industrial infrastructures were damaged.
Ukrainian media report that an air alert has been declared in the country. In particular, we are talking about Kyiv, Odessa, Chernigov, Poltava, Kirovograd and Nikolaevskaya regions.
ARMY OF UKRAINE ATTACKED CROSSING POINT OF KHERSON
The armed forces of Ukraine attacked the checkpoint of Kherson, where residents are transferred to safer places, there are 4 victims, said the deputy governor of Kherson, Kiril Stremousov. He warned that Ukraine will receive a harsh response.
Earlier, the Russian side announced the decision to evacuate citizens against the backdrop of increased tension in the region. It is noted that Ukraine is accumulating armed forces and military equipment in the direction of Kherson.
KYIV HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BRIDGE EXPLOSION IN CRIMEA: ZELENSKY
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kyiv has nothing to do with the explosion on the Crimean Bridge on October 8. “According to the information I have, we have not ordered anything like this,” the President of Ukraine noted.
Vladimir Putin described the explosion on the bridge as terrorism and blamed the special services of Ukraine.
TOOL WILL BE CREATED TO LIMIT GAS PRICE INCREASE
The leaders of the EU countries expressed their support for the idea of mandatory joint purchases of gas, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced. She added that the European Commission is going to “create a market regulation tool to limit the increase in gas prices.”
President of the European Council, Charles Michel, assured that the measures developed by the EU to reduce the prices of energy carriers will give quick results.
