Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan reaffirmed the intention of the Armenian side to establish a Consulate General in Tabriz. He said this during the opening ceremony of the Iranian Consulate General in Kapan, in which Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian also participates.
In his speech, Mirzoyan also referred to the directions of Armenia-Iran cooperation and the importance of the newly opened Consulate.
“IRI has always been and will continue to be a key partner for Armenia. Our cooperation includes a rather comprehensive political agenda, as well as strong ties in the fields of trade, energy, transport, tourism, culture, science, education, which, we hope, will deepen even more and receive a qualitative and practical new breath thanks to the activities of the Consulate General that opens today.
I am sure that the Consulate General will also contribute to the further activation of human contacts between the Armenian and Iranian peoples.
It will become an indicator of warm relations between two friendly and neighboring countries, a unique anchor for ensuring peace and security in the region,” said Mirzoyan.
To remind, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian arrived in Armenia yesterday on an official visit.
