Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky said three of the country’s energy facilities were destroyed on Wednesday.
"There’s more damage to critical infrastructure. Three energy facilities have been destroyed over the past day",he said on Telegram.
Zelensky asked people to reduce electricity consumption as much as possible on Thursday. He said that would help to make scheduled power cuts shorter.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kirill Timoshenko said that all regions of the country will have temporary power outages from 7:00 to 23:00 on Thursday. Starting on Thursday, the use of street lighting will also be limited in cities.
He also said there is no question about giving Ukrainian territories to Russia in any negotiation. "Ukrainian land belongs to Ukrainians", he said.
