Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, during the press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, answering the question regarding the current stage of raproachment between Armenia and Turkey, noted that this issue is also important for the geopolitical image of the region.
"You know that the two countries have appointed their special representatives, who have already had four meetings, tangible discussions in the direction of establishing diplomatic relations and opening the border, which was unilaterally closed by Turkey", he informed.
Mirzoyan mentioned that the landmark is the opening of the border and the establishment of diplomatic relations, at the same time he spoke about a phenomenon displayed by the representatives of Turkey.
"Our interlocutors in Turkey should connect this process less with the negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, on the contrary, realize that the success of the Armenia-Turkey dialogue can contribute to the Armenia-Azerbaijan relations", the minister said.
