Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan welcomed the launch of the EU civilian monitoring mission at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
“I am pleased to say for the record that our EU partners reacted and took decisions very quickly. The team is already in Armenia. The main group - the monitoring mission comprised of 40 members, will soon arrive in Armenia.
The original agreement is that the monitoring mission will work for 2 months. There are opinions in our experts arena that the term must be extended or the monitoring mission should be made permanent. I am not sure about this, but in any case this is a topic that is under discussion in our society and expert circles. If we see such a possibility or necessity I don’t rule out that we will study the issue deeper,” the PM said.
