Germany would like to participate in the observation mission in Armenia and plans to suggest its experts for the work starting from November, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Germany announced, Sputnik Armenia reports.
Earlier, during the meeting held in Luxembourg, EU foreign ministers officially approved the mission of 40 observers to Armenia. They will be deployed to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border to monitor the situation.
“The Federal Government strives for Germany to participate in the observation mission in Armenia and may come up with a proposal to send experts, starting from November," said the representative of the German Foreign Ministry.
According to him, the leadership of the mission, depending on the specific needs, will make the decision of who exactly will be involved in the process.
The EU observation mission is planned for two months. The purpose of the work is to contribute to the restoration of security and stability in the region, the formation of trust and the work of delimitation and security commissions.
