The Armenian Ministry of Defense said that night surveillance of Azerbaijani military activity revealed that the Azerbaijani forces are violating the ceasefire by starting to intentionally shoot at each other and then only target the Armenian positions.
“In the combat line of contact, particularly in the Sotk-Kutakan section, the nighttime surveillance and analysis of Azerbaijani military activity revealed that their units are violating the ceasefire first by shooting at each other, then in the direction of Armenian positions. By this, the Azerbaijani military is creating the impression as if the Armenian side started shooting at their outposts, and then begin to shoot at Armenian positions using various caliber small arms falsely claiming it to be a response to gunfire from Armenian side,” the Armenian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
