On October 14, the regular session of the State Council for the Protection of the Cultural Heritage of the Occupied Territories of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) was held under the chairmanship of Artsakh Republic State Minister Artak Beglaryan.
“In a short period of time, the Council was able to effectively implement some of the functions approved by the action plan. We already have some adjusted lists of cultural heritage and museum exhibits of the occupied territories, but there is still a lot of work to be done in the mentioned and other directions.
Parallel to that, Azerbaijan continues the policy of vandalism, and there is a need to increase the efficiency of the work to document its manifestations and properly present them to the international community,” Artak Beglaryan said in his speech.
Secretary-coordinator of the Council Sergey Shahverdyan and Deputy Chairman of the Council Lernik Hovhannisyan made a report on the work done.
As a result of the discussion, the directions of the Council's further actions were clarified, which were related to documentary, informational and other directions.
A decision was made to organize a presentation in the near future in order to present the completed works to the wider public.
