Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Ruslan Jaqsylyqov said that he sees no reason for a crisis in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
"There is no crisis," Jaqsylyqov told reporters on Wednesday, responding to the respective question.
The defense minister noted that Kazakhstan fulfills its obligations under the CSTO.
According to him, in general, it makes no sense to talk about "some kind of panic, or some other problems," in the CSTO.
Also, the minister gave an affirmative answer when asked whether the CSTO was expedient.
"There is always expediency - political or economic. So, let's be guided by this," Jaqsylyqov emphasized.
CSTO includes six states: Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
