President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan received Ambassador of Egypt Bahaa El Din Bahgat Dessouki on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in Armenia.
The President thanked the Ambassador for his efforts made during those four years to develop and strengthen the Armenian-Egyptian relations and wished him productive activities in the future.
The President highlighted the importance of the relations with Egypt for Armenia, which, he said, is conditioned by historical-cultural connections, mutual economic interests, as well as common approaches on several regional issues.
Both sides highlighted and valued the constantly deepening cooperation between the two countries covering different areas, and at the same time emphasized the necessity of regular high-level mutual visits and consultations. The sides also touched upon the 27th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27) which will take place in Egypt this year.
In his turn the Ambassador of Egypt thanked for the support provided to him during his diplomatic mission in Armenia and for the cooperation readiness, stating that he will continue to be useful to friendly Armenia and the Armenian people wherever he is. The Ambassador said he has a special warm attitude to the Armenian people.
