The package of new sanctions adopted by the EU against Russia on October 6 will affect third-country nationals and organizations that help Russians circumvent restrictions, RBC reports.
This means that now companies or citizens of any country can be included in the EU sanctions list for helping the Russians. It could be supplying equipment that the EU has banned from exporting to Russia, or participating in non-European transfers of assets that should be frozen in the EU.
The new package also addressed the field of metalworking. A Chinese or Turkish steel product, for example, cannot enter the EU market if it is made from Russian raw materials.
