The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan today received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Armenia Masanori Fukushima.
The social assistance programs and works implemented by the Japanese government after the war of 2020, as well as details regarding the response to the social problems caused by the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border since September 13 were discussed at the meeting.
"In the post-war period, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs implemented many projects, with the Japanese Embassy among partners. We have also received your support in various areas of social protection. We are ready to cooperate, study and discuss the effective programs, the application of which will enable us to solve the existing problems in the field and record success," said Minister Narek Mkrtchyan.
Ambassador Masanori Fukushima presented the details of his recent visit to Gegharkunik Province and stressed that they are ready to help overcome the post-war consequences.
"For Japan, Armenia is a democratic country with a society based on the power of law. We assure you that the Japanese government will continue to implement various programs to improve the needs of people in difficult life situations," the Ambassador noted.
