The meeting of the President of the European Council Charles Michel and the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev took place in Prague within the framework of the European Political Community Summit.
“Met today with Azerbaijani President in Prague after meeting with Nikol Pashinyan in New York. This afternoon together with Emmanuel Macron we’ll meet again with Azerbaijani President and Armenian Prime Minister on relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan and on advancing sustainable peace in the region,” Michel tweeted.
According to the media, during the meeting, the parties particularly emphasized the importance of meetings in Yerevan-Brussels-Baku format aimed at the regulation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Ilham Aliyev thanked Charles Michel for the mediation mission. Michel and Aliyev also referred to the agenda of the Pashinyan-Michel-Aliyev trilateral meeting scheduled for November in Brussels.
