US Embassy in Yerevan responded to the written questions of “Lurer” in a message.
We asked “What is your position regarding the deliberate killing of Armenian POWs by Azerbaijani servicemen”?
The Embassy’s response was, “We are deeply disturbed by recent reports of Azerbaijani soldiers executing unarmed Armenian prisoners. We call for a full and impartial investigation. Those responsible for any atrocities must be held to account”.
Azerbaijan still does not fulfill its obligations to return dozens of Armenian POWs. “What is your position on this issue”? asked “Lurer”.
“The immediate, unconditional return of those captured in last month’s attacks, as well as the return of all other detainees, is an important step to achieving a lasting peace”, said the embassy of the USA in response.
