Our position is that we should delimitate and demarcate on de jure basis. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned this while answering the questions of the Public TV.
It was observed that Azerbaijan uses the maps of the 19th century as a basis, while Armenia talks about the maps of the Soviet period.
"What does Azerbaijan quote? Their speech is unclear. Was there Azerbaijan in the 19th century, so that there was a map of Azerbaijan? If it were not for that speech, the peace treaty would have been signed by now.
If we accept the legally binding document of December 18, 1991, this means that delimitation can be done very quickly because it is a mark on the map.
Demarcation is another issue, because appropriate corrections can be made,” said the Prime Minister.
According to the Prime Minister, no one knows what maps Azerbaijan is talking about.
