On September 29 political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Czech Republic took place in Yerevan, Armenian Foreign Ministry press office reports. The Armenian delegation was represented by Ara Margaryan, the Head of the European Department of the MFA, and the Czech delegation was headed by Eva Dvořáková- Head of the Eastern European Department of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the consultations, the interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues on the Armenian-Czech bilateral agenda. The sides commended the high level of the existing political dialogue and the necessity to maintain it.
The interaction within the framework of international organizations, as well as Armenia-EU relations in the context of the Czech presidency in the EU were touched upon.
The sides exchanged views on a number of mutually interesting issues of regional and international agenda. Ara Margaryan briefed the interlocutor the recent aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia, highlighting the importance of a targeted response of the international community in condemning Azerbaijani aggression against Armenia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
