As a responsible member of the international community, Armenia agrees that the conflict with Azerbaijan must be solved through peaceful means, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the beginning of the Cabinet sitting on September 29. “Azerbaijan is constantly resorting to aggressive actions, he added.
“In this situation we consistently propose the international partners the following formula and believe that the deployment of an international observer mission on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, be it of the UN Security Council, the OSCE or any other international organization, could be a solution”, Pashinyan said.
He believes Azerbaijan’s actions also aim at disrupting the normal life in Armenia. However, he said that in the current situation the life couldn’t be considered normal because the society is constantly waiting for news and every signal deviates everyone from normal life. “But each of us must be concentrated on their daily work because the normal operation of systems is highly important and is vital for the economy. I urge you not to forget about this”, he said.
The Prime Minister said that the special services, the Security Council of Armenia are constantly working on the topic.
“We must continue voicing our political say, forming and implementing the agenda that we have proposed. We must consistently and decisively preserve our independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity”, he stated.
