We support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states. This was announced by the Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias during his press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister in Yerevan.
"Of course, this also applies to our good friends, Armenians. We believe in the indivisibility of borders. I would like to send a clear message to the countries trying to redefine maps, let me say this: the revision policy will fail. Turkey is trying to take advantage of this situation. We, the Greeks are witnesses to Turkish rhetoric. Let me say that Turkey also objected to Greece sending some defensive weapons to the Greek islands. This is done in the conditions when Greece acts within its obligations", he said.
The Greek Foreign Minister also said their position regarding Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) remains unchanged.
"We support peaceful, mutually acceptable solutions within the framework of the international law.
We also welcome the courage of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. He proposed a new approach for a new future in this region, but solutions and peace cannot be built in conditions where there is a threat of force", Dendias said.
The Minister also stressed that humanitarian issues must be resolved immediately.
"International humanitarian law must be respected", he said.
