Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday to discuss the topic of inter-parliamentary dialogue activation.
“We will look for new formats to offer solutions to issues of strategic importance to Russia and Azerbaijan,” Volodin said during the meeting.
He emphasized that the State Duma and the Milli Mejlis should work on legislative support for the implementation of the declaration on alliance cooperation between the two countries.
The President of Azerbaijan expressed hope that inter-parliamentary contacts with the Russian Federation will continue, including on international platforms.
