On September 20, on the margins of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka Ali Sabry.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects of the development of relations between the two countries in a number of fields.
During the meeting, issues related to the regional and international agenda were discussed.
Ararat Mirzoyan briefed Ali Sabry upon the situation resulting from the military aggression of Azerbaijan against the territorial integrity of Armenia, strongly condemning the targeting of civilian population and infrastructure and gross violations of international law. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's maximalist and non-constructive stance greatly undermines regional stability and security.
