The heads of parliamentary caucuses of the parliament of Artsakh had a meeting with the commander of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Major-General Andrey Volkov.
The lawmakers attached importance to the peacekeeping mission’s role in ensuring stability in the region and discussed the general situation and the current and possible future developments in the region.
Certain issues voiced by the public pertaining to the new route of the Lachin corridor were also addressed. Commander Volkov said that the Russian peacekeepers are entirely controlling the safety of the corridor and that the issues will be resolved upon the completion of the construction work.
The need for various-format frequent contacts was emphasized for solving the concerns of the society.
