Ambassador-at-Large Edmon Marukyan wrote on his Facebook page.
“We are getting disturbing news that armed clashes are taking place along the CSTO member Kyrgyz-Tajik state border. The authorities of the Batken region of Kyrgyzstan reported that 4 soldiers were wounded.
Residents are being evacuated from border regions. I think this is not a good precedent, and the CSTO member states should be united to protect each other while the clashes are going on between the two member states.
I hope a quick peaceful settlement of the problem will be found."
