There is no talk about the use of CSTO forces on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Organization hopes that the conflict will be solved peacefully, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov said, reports TASS.
“Let’s not go ahead, I only want to say that on September 13 the leaders of our countries unanimously stated that this issue that exists today between Armenia and Azerbaijan must be solved through political and diplomatic means”, he said, adding that there haven’t been any talks about the use of military force, moreover with the involvement of CSTO, neither on September 13, nor yesterday, nor today.
Sidorov, said Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed the sending of the mission, and it was accepted.
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff expressed hope that there won’t be any talk on such a scenario.
