Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan chaired today an extended-format consultation of the Security Council, the PM’s Office said.
In addition to the members of the Security Council, the session was also attended by President Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, Speaker of Parliament Alen Simonyan, Chief of Staff at the PM’s Office Arayik Harutyunyan, Vice Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan, and head of the Parliament’s Civil Contract faction Hayk Konjoryan.
The current situation caused by the aggression of Azerbaijan against Armenia’s sovereign territory, as well as the steps to be taken to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Armenia were discussed. Views were exchanged also on the current situation of the negotiation process for the settlement of the NK issue.
The imperative of nationwide solidarity and unity in the context of resisting the external threats was highlighted.
