Armenia will use all political and diplomatic means to restore its territorial integrity and withdraw the armed forces of aggressor Azerbaijan from its territory, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during the Q&A session in the Parliament.
He reminded that last year, following the May incidents, the Armenian side proposed to withdraw troops in a mirrored fashion. “I think the further events proved that the issue of withdrawing troops in a mirrored fashion and conducting an international monitoring along the border proved its urgency with these incidents. Yesterday, a similar proposal was made during the session of the Collective Security Council to consider creating an international monitoring between Armenia and Azerbaijan during the delimitation and demarcation aimed at controlling the ceasefire regime. And I think that this should be one of our practical implementation tasks in the future. And we will use all political, diplomatic means for restoring Armenia’s territorial integrity and withdrawing the armed forces of aggressor Azerbaijan from the territory of Armenia”, he said.
He said of course, it’s highly desirable that the military operations stop and the issue is solved through diplomatic, political means, but, added that unfortunately the experience shows that Azerbaijan’s aggressive actions do not stop. “And we should continue our work for solving this issue with all possible means, also continuing to intensify our work with the international community”, he added.
