During his speech at the National Assembly, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan informed that the intensity of combat operations has decreased, however Azerbaijan's attacks continue in one or two directions.
“The Ministry of Defense, the General Staff are assessing the situation, assessing the losses, and the corrected information will be officially published.
From the moment the attack became known, the Security Council (SC) members were invited to me, a SC meeting was held, which continued until dawn. Based on the results of the discussion and session, we made a decision to apply to the CSTO, in connection with that application, a session of the CSTO Permanent Council is now taking place.
We have also appealed to Russia on the basis of the 1997 Treaty on Friendship and Mutual Assistance, we have made a decision to appeal to the UN Security Council so that the situation can be discussed as a matter of urgency,” said Pashinyan.
The Prime Minister mentioned that during the night he had telephone conversations with the President of Russia, the President of France, the President of Iran, the US Secretary of State, and the President of the European Council.
“We are now working in these directions to stabilize the situation as quickly as possible,” said Pashinyan.
