Russia is very concerned about the escalation of the situation on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, calls on the parties to show restraint and maintain the ceasefire regime. This was announced by Yuri Ushakov, assistant to the Russian President for international affairs.
“Of course, we express extreme concern regarding the aggravation of the situation in some parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border,” Ushakov said, reminding that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called Russian President Vladimir Putin at night.
“We call on both Azerbaijan and Armenia to show restraint, to steadily maintain the ceasefire regime and, in general, to maintain the trilateral statements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia,” the official added.
