Brussels is closely following the situation in the Armenian-Azerbaijani border region, said the representative of the European Union's foreign policy service, answering the question of ‘Lurer’ regarding the increase in tension along the Armenia-Azerbaijani border and the contact line in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and the possible risks of destabilization of the situation by Azerbaijan.
“We urge both sides to refrain from actions that could escalate the situation and derail the ongoing normalisation process that the EU strongly supports and remains committed to,” Peter Stano stated.
