IRAN STUDYING US RESPONSE
Tehran is studying Washington's response to the draft agreement on restoring the Iran nuclear deal, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said, adding that Iran will express its opinion on it after a series of expert discussions.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, for his part, noted that Iran has repeatedly stated that nuclear weapons have no place in Iran's defense agenda. He assured that Tehran's presence in the region is a guarantee of security.
Raisi also touched on Israel's approach to restoring the Iran nuclear deal.
"Israel was against it from the beginning, but nothing will stop us," he warned.
Until then, the Israel Defense Forces and the Mossad were instructed to prepare to counter any possible Iranian actions. Prime Minister Yair Lapid assured that Israel will protect its security.
"Israel is against the restoration of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action in its current form. It is a bad deal, it was bad in 2015 too. Today the dangers arising from it have increased," Lapid said, expressing concern that the conclusion of the agreement is already in the final stage.
The minister also believed that despite everything, Israel does not want to damage the strategic relations with the USA.
IT IS NECESSARY TO DEEPLY REFORM THE ENERGY MARKET: MACRON
It is necessary to strengthen Europe's energy sovereignty and deeply reform the EU energy market, Emmanuel Macron said.
The French President said that Paris hopes to discuss this issue, as well as the project of creating a "European political community" at the informal meeting of the European Union in Prague on August 30.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed his support for Macron's idea, noting that the European political community will allow EU countries to engage in closer dialogue with partners outside the Union.
