Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Georgian Interior Minister, thanked Armenia for offering assistance in extinguishing forest fires in Borjomi region, Georgian media reported.
"Armenia has offered to help us with equipment, although we have also mobilized our equipment. You see that we cannot physically use a large amount of equipment, the landscape is like that," Gomelauri said.
According to him, the use of airplanes is more effective, but considering the wildfires in Europe, they should not expect Georgia to receive some.
