The Portuguese authorities oppose the ban on the entry of Russian tourists to the EU countries ECO newspaper reports. It cited an official representative of the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “Portugal believes that the main goal of the sanctions regime should be to punish the Russian “military machine”, and not the Russian people”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal in response to the request of the publication, the department also notes that Portugal will take part in the discussion of the introduction of visa restrictions against Russian citizens at an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, which will be held in Prague on August 30-31.
