It has been 8 years since the crime committed by the "Islamic State" terrorist group, a political crime that left its deep mark on the political, social, and psychological life of the Yazidi people and its organization. Parliamentarian Rustam Bakoyan wrote about it on his Facebook page.
“Even today, many Yazidis live in tents under extremely difficult conditions, many of them, escaping the genocide, are looking for a peaceful life on foreign shores, facing the gravest danger of assimilation...
I call for dedication and unity to my compatriots living in different corners of the world to fight for the restoration of historical justice and to fulfill the great dreams of our people.
I am sure that we will overcome all difficulties with persistent work, unity and faith.
For the sake of the safe, peaceful and prosperous present and future of the Yazidi people,” Bakoyan’s statement reads.
