The first ship loaded with twenty-six thousand tons of Ukrainian corn, which left the port of Odesa yesterday successfully passed the ‘grain corridor’ and is on its way to the Black Sea straits, Ukrainian media reported.
The Joint Coordination Center informs that the cargo ship will be in Istanbul at midnight, where representatives of Russia, Ukraine, Turkey and the United Nations will inspect it. If it passes successfully, the ship will continue its journey to Lebanon.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, referred to the food agreements reached in Istanbul. She noted that within the framework of the agreements reached, in addition to the export of Ukrainian grain, the access of Russian food and fertilizers to world markets should also be ensured.
Zakharova called on the West to cancel the anti-Russian sanctions, which, according to her, create financial and logistical difficulties for the whole world.
