We have disbursed an additional €500 million in macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. Another €500 million will follow tomorrow, President of European Commission Ursula Von Der Leyen stated.
"This €1 billion will help Ukraine address its immediate financial needs and strengthen the country in a crucial phase,” Von Der Leyen tweeted.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal, in turn, confirmed: "The first tranche of €500 million has already been transferred to the account of the National Bank of Ukraine. We are expecting the second tranche tomorrow."
