Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar announced that he intends to hold an additional meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu and Ukrainian colleagues.
He expressed hope that Russia and Ukraine will send their personnel to the coordination center as soon as possible. Akar announced that the overall coordination of the center will be done from Turkey.
Agreements signed between Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United Nations in Istanbul on July 22 ensure the creation of a quadrilateral coordination center the representatives of which will inspect ships carrying wheat to prevent arms smuggling.
