Heavy rains disrupted traffic in various parts of India on Saturday (July 23), Reuters reports.
Vehicles were seen driving through flooded roads in Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital Srinagar, while people waded through floodwaters in India's southern Telangana state.
India, with 1.3 billion people, relies on rainfall to support its population, many of whom rely on farming. But excessive rainfall can cause floods, landslides and water-borne diseases.
