The United States believes that the problems related to the Iranian nuclear program should be resolved through diplomacy, the State Department announced.
“The US President has committed that Iran will never get a nuclear weapon. We continue to believe that diplomacy is the most effective means by which to fulfill that pledge. We continue to believe under that framework that a mutual return to compliance with the JCPOA is the most advantageous course that remains viable, and we’ll continue to pursue that as long as it’s in our interest,” Price said.
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian also stated in a telephone conversation with Joseph Borel that Tehran wants to reach a stable and lasting agreement. He called on Washington to abandon past mistakes and non-constructive stance, as well as abandon the idea of imposing sanctions.
