Recep Erdogan expressed hope that decisions taken at session of the high-level cooperation council between Turkey and Iran, held in Tehran, will give new impetus to the bilateral relations.
As a result of the negotiations, agreements and memorandums of cooperation in the political, economic and social spheres were signed, including the Comprehensive Cooperation Program between the two countries.
According to Erdogan, the situation in Syria, issues of combating terrorism, military-technical cooperation between the two states were also discussed.
The President of Turkey announced plans to increase the trade turnover between the two countries from $7.5 billion to $30 billion, noting that Ankara and Tehran have the corresponding potential.
