The US Treasury has authorized some transactions with Russia. In particular, it is about transactions related to fertilizers, food, seeds, medicines and medical equipment. The US Treasury Department announced this, RIA Novosti reports.
On June 2, the US Treasury Department removed from the list of sanctions against Russia transactions related to the payment of pensions to Americans, which were prohibited by the decree of President Joe Biden.
Kyle Shostak, director of the American investment company Navigator Principal Investors, assumed that anti-Russian sanctions will be eased after the mid-term congressional elections scheduled for the fall of 2022. In his opinion, this can happen if the Republicans win. The easing of sanctions may concern the import of Russian oil, raw materials and fertilizers, as well as restrictions on the financial sector, including the regime of sanctions against banks related to settlement procedures, Shostak believes.
