Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Vitaly Savelyev and the delegation led by him.
The Prime Minister noted with satisfaction the intensity recorded in Armenian-Russian relations, as evidenced by the frequent official visits, which emphasize the special nature of bilateral ties. Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of cooperation in all directions, including in the transport sector, and also highly appreciated the efforts and operative response of the Russian side in the direction of the resolution of the crisis situations arising at the Upper Lars checkpoint.
Vitaly Savelyev conveyed to Prime Minister Pashinyan the warm greetings of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and assessed the work with Armenian partner departments as productive. He noted that Russia is interested in developing friendly, brotherly partnership and mutually beneficial programs with Armenia.
At the meeting, the sides exchanged ideas on cooperation in the fields of transport and logistics. Aviation and automobile communication, public transport infrastructure were touched upon. The sides attached importance to exchange of experience and active interdepartmental work in these directions. It was noted that the development of transport communication will contribute to the growth of the volume of bilateral passenger and cargo transportation, will activate economic contacts and tourism.
Nikol Pashinyan asked to convey his greetings to Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
