Iran will join the Shanghai Cooperation Organziation this year. A memorandum on Iran's obligations as SCO member will be signed at Samarkand SCO Summit, acting Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov said, AKIpress reports.
Belarus applied for accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, he said.
"Belarus applied for SCO accession. This application was sent to the member states. If the respective decision is made, I think it will be made, then the decision will be made at the SCO Summit in Samarkand about start of SCO accession procedures for Belarus," Vladimir Norov said.
The SCO Summit will be held in Samarkand in September.
