The President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan sent a congratulatory message to the Governor General of Canada Mary Simon on the occasion of Canada Day.
President Vahagn Khachaturyan's address reads:
“During the 30 years of establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Canada, we managed to form friendly and cooperative ties based on common values, mutual respect and trust.
Armenia's recent progress towards democracy and its determination to continue democratic reforms open up new prospects for cooperation between our countries.
Armenia greatly values Canada's support and welcomes the publication of the report ‘Supporting Armenian Democracy’ by Stéphane Dion, Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to the European Union and Europe.
I am sure that we will expand and deepen bilateral cooperation with joint efforts.”
