Today, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan received Iva Petrova, Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission in Armenia. IMF Resident Representative in Armenia Mehdi Raisi was present at the meeting.
The President congratulated Iva Petrova on the occasion of assuming the important position and wished her fruitful work. Vahagn Khachaturyan referred to the 30th anniversary of IMF-Armenia cooperation, stressed the role of IMF studies for the Armenian economy.
The head of the IMF mission in Armenia thanked for the reception and expressed readiness for close cooperation. Iva Petrova mentioning with satisfaction the impressive indicators of the Armenian economy in the spring months.
A wide range of issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. Recent macroeconomic developments, tax and monetary policy issues and investments in other public sectors were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Vahagn Khachaturyan and Iva Petrova reached an agreement to make working contacts regular.
