Media issues should be resolved on the basis of the rule of law and respect for the freedom of speech and rights of journalists. The statement came from Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova in response to ‘Lurer’s’ question about the blocking of RIA Novosti in Azerbaijan.
“We are resolving the emerging issues with our partners in a bilateral format,” said the Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman.
Zakharova expressed hope that such incidents will be registered as rare as possible, and the bilateral relations will develop in the field of media, too.
