Russia during the special operation in Ukraine used far from its full potential, said Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, quoted by RIA Novosti.
He called Russia a “wounded bear” and noted that some considered it too early to have been defeated in the clash in Ukraine. The Polish prime minister acknowledged that Russia is a powerful state with great potential, and so far, only a part of it has been involved.
As Morawiecki noted, some EU countries are not opposed to the Ukrainian military laying down their arms.
“There are cracks in European solidarity. There are countries that would rather support Ukraine in laying down arms, and not in strengthening its defense potential,” the politician admitted.
Earlier, Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that Warsaw would not allow the Kremlin to “restore the empire.” He noted that Poland should have a southeastern border with Ukraine, and not with Russia.
“We all understand that if Russia conquers Ukraine, it will not stop there, because the Kremlin’s goal is to restore the empire,” he said.
