Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations plans to demand 15 billion rubles from the federal budget to install a ‘Safe City’ system on the border with Ukraine. This became known from the sources of Kommersant close to the project.
According to them, the system is planned to be installed in Crimea, Krasnodar Territory, as well as in Voronezh and Belgorod regions. “In the context of Russia's special operation on demilitarization and denationalization of Ukraine, the ‘Safe City’ has become up-to-date for regions, given the growing threat of subversive attacks on civilian infrastructure,” a representative from the Minister of Emergency Situations told Kommersant.
