The Ambassador of the Lugansk to Russia, Rodion Miroshnik, ruled out the possibility of secret exchange operations involving foreign mercenaries detained on the territory of the republic earlier. According to the diplomat, they are all subject to a mandatory tribunal.
“We cannot give up our enemies. Now we have two more American mercenaries, and each of them will be subject to a mandatory tribunal. That is, we cannot actually come to secret exchange operations today, this does not lead to anything good,” he said on the air of the Solovyov Live channel.
According to Miroshnik, such exchanges have not been carried out before, and the mercenaries themselves are now actively giving evidence, which will later be made public by the authorities of the People’s Republics.
Miroshnik said that in order to withdraw civilians from the territory of the Severodonetsk Azot plant, it is necessary to destroy the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the city of Lisichansk.
Thus, according to the ambassador, the threat of shelling will be removed, because of which the evacuation is disrupted every time.
“For a full-fledged evacuation of civilians from Azot, it is necessary to destroy the Ukrainian positions around Lisichansk and remove the threat of shelling of both Severodonetsk and Rubizhne. Allied forces are currently working on this task”– wrote Miroshnik in his Telegram channel.

He stressed that the humanitarian corridors, organized jointly with Russian troops, are being fired not only from the territory of Azot, but also from positions near Lisichansk, where Ukrainian nationalists have deployed artillery and mortars. At the same time, as local residents point out, the militants are preparing to strike at the gate of the plant if anyone tries to get out of it.
“There is still no agreement on opening a humanitarian corridor from Azot, both for the exit of civilians and for laying down weapons by militants. The main reason is that Ukraine refuses to guarantee a ceasefire, without which no evacuation is possible”Miroshnik emphasized.
Despite the shelling, two civilians were able to get out of Azot on Saturday. Their condition is being updated. In addition, Ukrainian militants who were hiding on the territory of “Azot” began to surrender.
