The activities of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border delimitation and demarcation commission have nothing to do with the situation around the village of Parukh in the Askeran region of Nagorno-Karabakh, which is under the responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during the weekly briefing.
“At the same time, we expect that the launch and large-scale work of the commission will contribute to building confidence in Baku and preventing incidents both on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers,” Zakharova said.
She answered the question about the date of the second session of the delimitation and demarcation commission of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“We welcomed the holding of the first session of the bilateral commission on delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on May 24. We agreed that the second part or the meeting will take place in Moscow. We are ready to organize it in the very near future, we are waiting for the proposals of the Armenian and Azerbaijani partners.”
