The Russian State Duma wants to nationalize the assets of Ukrainian officials and military, who took part in the shelling of Russia and Donbas, Izvestia reports.
According to the deputies, Kyiv’s actions deserve a proportionate response from the Russian Federation.
Besides, it is stated that the confiscated assets should be used as compensation for the victims of the shelling in Russia, Donetsk and Lugansk.
According to the newspaper, the State Duma factions supported the proposal. At the same time, the lower house points out the need to develop a legal mechanism that will allow maintaining the institution of private property.
