Zaporozhye and Crimea agreed to resume the movement of passenger and freight trains. This was announced by Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the military-civilian administration of the Zaporozhye region, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the official, it is planned to return to the schedule six trains, the operation of which was interrupted eight years ago due to the decision of the Ukrainian authorities to arrange a transport blockade of Crimea on the border with the Kherson region.
Also, he added, for a significant unloading of automobile checkpoints, bus service will be restored in the near future.
Earlier it became known that Russia and Kyrgyzstan also agreed to resume the movement of railway traffic against the backdrop of easing covid measures in the two countries. So, from June 6, trains will start running on the route Bishkek-Kazan-Bishkek and Bishkek-Samara-Bishkek.
